PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
An 1880 Carson City (CC) Morgan Silver Dollar (VAM-8 8/7 Dash. This piece displays an original white/silver metallic luster with a light ring of golden toning that appears on the obverse and reverse and frosted white surfaces. Excellent well struck details on the bust & eagle. Though not notated by NGC, the key characteristics of this piece are the rust spots around the 'ST' in STATES on the reverse and of course the dash that appears below the second 8 in the date. Further characteristics of VAM-8 have been photographed and displayed in our photos. The total mintage for this date & mint mark: 495,000.
